The + Playlist

Updated: Feb 13, 2021

{ Listen to this post here }

Music is a powerful thing. There’s something for every mood and everyone. I have playlists for lazy beach days, road trips, working out, waking up, bathtime, you name it, but my most favorite of playlists is my + playlist. My positive playlist. Anytime I feel myself in a bit of a funk, day or night, I put these tunes on and feel immediately lifted.

Ever find a song that just boosts your spirit every time you hear it? One that gets you grooving? One that makes you feel powerful, pumped, sexy - like you can do anything? That is the song that belongs on this list. They can be upbeat or ballad, old school or newest hits, clean or x-rated. They can remind you of a memory, a good time in your life, a feeling, they can make you present, pensive, thankful, or they can push you forward, give you hope, make you dream. They can be all of the above. Whatever gets your juices flowing and your mind in the right place!

I encourage you to start a + playlist on your phone. Any time you hear a song like this, just add it to the list. Little by little, over time you will develop quite a lengthy selection. And when you need that boost, click the list and hit shuffle. Sunday scaries, Monday blues, hump day slump be gone!

I totally agree that music can set the mood! I’ve also made playlists for special occasion. One of my favorites is my “Valentine’s Playlist” .... set the perfect mood for my husband and I for our special romantic fondue dinner by the fireplace this year. It includes some great old school Marvin Gaye💕😉😍 I see some on your list that I’ll need to check out And add to my “upbeat list”!!
